Last updated July 2026. This page explains, in plain English, what information Trackplan collects and how it's used.
Trackplan is a simple content site. We do not require an account to read anything on the journal. The only information we ask for directly is an email address, and only if you choose to sign up for our newsletter using the form on the site.
If you enter your email in the newsletter form, we store it so we can send you new posts. We don't sell, rent or share that address with third parties, and we don't use it for anything beyond sending Trackplan updates. You can ask us to remove your address at any time by writing to us.
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools may automatically log basic technical information when you visit — such as browser type, approximate region, and which pages were viewed. This is used only in aggregate, to understand which posts are being read, and is not tied to your name or used to build an individual profile of you.
The newsletter signup form uses your browser's local storage to remember that you've already subscribed, so we don't show the signup prompt again unnecessarily. This stays on your device and isn't sent anywhere. We don't use tracking cookies for advertising.
Some posts may link to outside resources for further reading. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of sites we link to, and we'd encourage you to check their own policies before sharing information with them.
Trackplan is a general-interest hobby publication and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and adjust the "last updated" date above. We don't expect changes to be frequent, given how little we collect in the first place.
